"Sociedade dos Vinhos Borges” was created in 1884 by two brothers, Francisco and António Borges, who founded a number of businesses related to various sectors, namely Banking and Port Wines.
Nowadays, Borges has a complete portfolio of DOC wines from the main regions of Portugal - Port Wine, Douro, Dão, Vinho Verde, Rosé wine and sparkling wine – exporting their products to about 50 countries in 5 continents. In 1998, Borges became a part of the JMV group, a family group with exclusively Portuguese capital, which had been the main distributor for the company in the national market.
Since then, Borges has controlled the entire production process, starting with the planting of vineyards to the delivery of the wines to the end consumer. The company receives visitors at its wine facilities in the Vinho Verde district, "Marco de Simães”. Booking in advance is necessary.
