Domínio do Açor aims to make great wines of elegance, freshness and granite minerality in Dão, to value the region and its producers, working in harmony with nature and the local community.
A historic winery with a spectacular heritage of old vines was acquired by a group of Brazilian friends in 2021. Domínio do Açor is set in a fascinating historical atmosphere near the village of Oliveira do Conde, a small parish in the municipality of Carregal do Sal in the Dão wine region.
"Domínio" alluding to our philosophy of making great terroir wines in Dão, with grapes from our "domaine". And "do Açor" to evoke our geography, facing the Serra do Açor, and the unique effect that the surrounding mountains have on the style of the Dão wines.
