The Yeatman has started the year with yet another prize, this time attributed by the influential wine critic, winemaker and educator, Aníbal Coutinho, in the category of Wine Hotel of the Year in the annual ‘W’ Prizes for 2013.The 5th edition of these gala distinctions were announced online in the first awards ceremony of excellence of the year. The prestigious Portuguese wine critic evaluated the best offers in the wine making industry in 2013 across the most diverse areas, in relation to 21 categories. The Yeatman won one of the most prestigious categories with Wine Hotel of the Year.
The criteria for selection was excellence of service as well as its events programme, having already been distinguished in the category for Best Wine Service in a restaurant in the 2012 W Awards. Areas of excellence that Anibal Coutinho referred to in relation to The Yeatman’s prize were the weekly wine dinners, national wine competitions, its Christmas offer, the quality and service of its wine by the glass and the expertise of the Wine Director, Beatriz Machado, and Chef Ricardo Costa.
