Afternoon Tea prepared by Chef Ricardo Costa, pays tribute to this ritual where tea is the main drink, created in Great Britain in the early 1840s by the 7th Duchess of Bedford, Anna Russell. In essence, it was a snack or light meal, invented to satisfy the appetite during the afternoon, since the last meal of the day would only be served between 7 and 8 pm. 

With growing acceptance of this ritual, its composition has adjusted over time, whilst at the same time cultivating its role as a private, social event. In the UK, today, Afternoon Tea is usually enjoyed as an occasional indulgence or to celebrate a special event with a group of friends.
