In 2000, 15 Douro winegrowers came together in a unique collective project, drawing on diversity, partnership and collaboration to make better wines, together. Sharing a common vision and the aim of producing quality wines, these producers chose to create their own company and take charge of the future of their vineyards and grapes.
Lavradores de Feitoria seeks to value those who work the land, contributing to the sustainability of the vineyards and to the future of the Douro region - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - while preserving its identity and unique way of life. Lavradores de Feitoria brings together around 380 hectares of vineyard, spread across 20 estates located in the three Douro sub-regions: Baixo Corgo, Cima Corgo and Douro Superior.
The production model is based on close collaboration between producers, viticulture and oenology, combining knowledge of traditional techniques with experience in managing factors such as altitude and sun exposure. In this way, each wine expresses the character, diversity and richness of the Douro.
