The wines from 100 Igual grow in the Minho Wine Region, but João, the producer, wants to show that this region, known for its famous 'Vinho Verde', can also produce excellent dry wines.
As a fifth-generation member of a wine-producing family, João Camizão decided to create his first wine in 2012: Sem Igual. Produced from carefully selected grapes grown on his grandfather’s estates, the vineyards cover a total of 10 hectares, with vines ranging from 3 to 95 years of age.
Today, João’s main ambition with Sem Igual is to show the world that the Vinho Verde region offers exceptional conditions for producing distinctive dry wines, thanks to an almost perfect terroir and two still largely unexplored grape varieties: Azal, which provides the backbone of Sem Igual, combined with the structure and elegance of Arinto.
