The Yeatman has been honoured once again with the prestigious prize "BestAccommodation" in the Wine Tourism Awards promoted by the English magazine,Drinks International, one of the mostinfluential wine publications in the UK. The Yeatman was awarded the prize in2014, and it has just been announced that it has won again for 2015, for thesecond consecutive year.
The prestigious jury, composed of independent specialists selected by thishighly respected trade magazine, evaluated 2000 participating entries. Six
winners then went on to win differentcategories of the competition.Regarding winning Best Accommodation worldwide, Jan-Erik Ringertz, TheYeatman’s General Manager, added that "this second award is a huge recognitionof the work that The Yeatman has been developing over the past two years andsince opening in 2010”. He stated that "it is an honour to have been attributedthis important prize, and that the city of Porto, and Portugal, are now, morethan ever at the epicentre of world wine tourism”.
TheYeatman’s wine theme encompasses many areas and can be found in many details,from its important wine list with the largest collection of Portuguese wines inthe world, to its architecture, the Michelin star restaurant with food and winepairing, to the events, hotel decoration and vinotherapy grape treatments in theCaudalie Spa.
This prize certainlyreflects the hard work of all the team at The Yeatman and in particular of theWine Director, Beatriz Machado and of The Yeatman’s Executive Chef, RicardoCosta.
