The Yeatman has been honoured once again with the prestigious prize "Best
Accommodation" in the Wine Tourism Awards promoted by the English magazine,
Drinks International, one of the most
influential wine publications in the UK. The Yeatman was awarded the prize in
2014, and it has just been announced that it has won again for 2015, for the
second consecutive year.
The prestigious jury, composed of independent specialists selected by this highly respected trade magazine, evaluated 2000 participating entries. Sixwinners then went on to win different categories of the competition.
Regarding winning Best Accommodation worldwide, Jan-Erik Ringertz, The Yeatman’s General Manager, added that "this second award is a huge recognition of the work that The Yeatman has been developing over the past two years and since opening in 2010”. He stated that "it is an honour to have been attributed this important prize, and that the city of Porto, and Portugal, are now, more than ever at the epicentre of world wine tourism”.
The Yeatman’s wine theme encompasses many areas and can be found in many details, from its important wine list with the largest collection of Portuguese wines in the world, to its architecture, the Michelin star restaurant with food and wine pairing, to the events, hotel decoration and vinotherapy grape treatments in the Caudalie Spa.
This prize certainly reflects the hard work of all the team at The Yeatman and in particular of the Wine Director, Beatriz Machado and of The Yeatman’s Executive Chef, Ricardo Costa.
